What you'll do:
- Oversee site-wide compliance and health & safety procedures across a commercial environment.
- Review, prepare and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) to ensure safe systems of work are in place.
- Issue and manage permits to work, ensuring all contractor activities are compliant and controlled.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections, and internal audits to maintain high safety standards.
- Monitor compliance with current health & safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Investigate incidents, produce reports, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Work closely with management, engineers, and contractors to promote a strong safety culture across site.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification (desirable).
- Previous experience in a compliance or health & safety role within a commercial or facilities environment.
- Strong understanding of RAMS, permits to work, audits, and risk management processes.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
