We are currently recruiting for a Handyman (Fabric Technician) to join a well-established Facilities Management provider, working as part of a maintenance team within a prestigious facility in the Reading area.

The Role
As a Handyman/Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out general fabric maintenance and minor repairs across the site, ensuring the building remains safe, presentable and fully operational. You will work closely with the wider maintenance team, supporting the day-to-day upkeep of the facility and helping deliver a high-quality experience for clients and visitors.

The Role
As a Handyman/Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out general fabric maintenance and minor repairs across the site, ensuring the building remains safe, presentable and fully operational. You will work closely with the wider maintenance team, supporting the day-to-day upkeep of the facility and helping deliver a high-quality experience for clients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general handyman and fabric maintenance duties
- Completing minor repairs and maintenance tasks across the facility
- Maintaining high standards throughout the building and surrounding areas
- Working alongside the maintenance team to support day-to-day site operations
- Following health and safety procedures and safe working practices
- Ensuring the site remains safe and presentable for occupiers and visitors
- Liaising professionally with clients, property managers and colleagues
- Sourcing materials, tools and quotes required for maintenance works
- Promoting repair and reuse wherever practical, rather than unnecessary replacement
- Completing maintenance reports and documentation accurately and on time
About You
- Previous experience in a Handyman, Fabric Technician or general maintenance role
- Good practical skills and the ability to carry out minor repairs
- Experience working within a commercial or Facilities Management environment would be advantageous
- Good understanding of health and safety and safe working practices
- Able to work independently while contributing to a wider maintenance team
- Organised, reliable and proactive in your approach
- Professional communication and customer service skills
