Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum + Car Allowance
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Centre Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join a leading FM service provider. This mobile role will see you covering sites across the South and Midlands, working within a growing specialist commissioning team.
Reporting to the National Commissioning Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, structured commissioning processes across multiple data centre projects — ensuring all mechanical and electrical systems perform to design intent.

Reporting to the National Commissioning Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, structured commissioning processes across multiple data centre projects — ensuring all mechanical and electrical systems perform to design intent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead and deliver commissioning activities on live data centre projects
- Prepare and review commissioning procedures, RAMS, and test documentation
- Supervise engineers and third-party contractors to ensure safe and compliant commissioning practices
- Carry out system testing, inspections, and witness testing through to client sign-off
- Liaise with project managers, design teams, and clients to ensure clear communication and smooth delivery
- Identify and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong background in mechanical engineering within critical environments (data centres desirable)
- Hands-on commissioning experience across M&E systems
- Knowledge of commissioning procedures, safe systems of work, and compliance standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise teams and liaise with clients
- Flexible to travel across the South and Midlands
