Position: Mechanical Construction Manager
Location: Derby (Large Commercial Facility)
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
 
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a leading FM service provider, overseeing major mechanical construction works within a large, high-profile facility in Derby.
This role offers a chance to play a key part in the delivery of complex mechanical projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
 
What you'll do:
 
  • Supervise and coordinate on-site mechanical works, including subcontractor management and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure all activities comply with CDM 2015 Principal Contractor duties, company procedures, and statutory regulations.
  • Drive a strong health, safety, and quality culture across all project operations.
  • Oversee procurement, prefabrication, and installation in line with project programmes and specifications.
  • Attend client and contractor meetings, representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Maintain commercial control of contractor packages, ensuring works are delivered within budget and timescales.
 
What you'll bring:
 
  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager on similar mechanical or M&E build projects.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical construction processes and sequencing.
  • CSCS Manager Card and SMSTS certification essential.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and Principal Contractor responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to manage both people and performance.
  • Competent IT skills (MS Office, Outlook, BIM, Adobe).
